Projects on my needles

Just a quick post today.  I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit hungover today, the result of a lovely wedding yesterday :)  Remind me to go easy on the wine next time...

The sun in shining today though and a chinese takeaway is on the way.  Life is good!

Cables
Chunky cables using Cygnet Seriously Chunky in Fawn, knitted on 10mm needles

The owl & the pussy cat knits
A project I've been working on for a while from Knitted Toy Tales; the Owl and the Pussy Cat.  This is the owl obviously!

    1. Chunky wool is the best, you know it's going to knit up fast but I'm always surprised by how fast :)

  4. Are you all recovered now. I did that to myself a couple of weeks ago and I wouldn't have managed to cable the next day so hats off to you! Jo x

    1. As I lay in bed in the early hours (I always wake up in the middle of the night after too many!) I decided to let Sunday be a write-off, which actually worked as I was completely content to lie in til about 11.30, which meant I could face porridge, then nap for a few hours to face a walk!

In June I had the mother of all hangovers while at Glastonbury, where I was pretty much on my feet from 9am, so this was a walk in the park really :p

  6. Ooh what are the chunky cables going to be?? I'm knitting too now, Stephen Wests's Boneyard Shawl (it's a free pattern!) and I'm loving it, I've been neglecting my knitting for months! The owl is going to be gorgeous :-)
p.s. I studied in Russia for about a year, and the overall advice on hangovers over there is "just drink the same thing that made you drunk the night before first thing in the morning" Never tested it though, and I'm not sure this is healthy advice ;-) xxxx

    1. ha'ha, that's called 'hair of the dog' but I think it just prolongs the wait - the hangover always comes sadly.

The chunky cables are a secret for now sadly, just incase the person I'm making them for reads this :) I still need to get round to making a shawl don't I!

Thank you so much for leaving a comment :-) I know you're probably busy so it means a lot!

I'll try to reply and share the love, especially if you have a blog! (but I can't email if you're a "No Reply" blogger, so don't be sad if you don't hear back) x
